Northern Starr
I have already trashed one of my New Year's resolutions, and it is only the 12th day in. I had resolved to eat at home more in the new year. 4 out of 12 is what...33%. Yeah, it's trashed. On Tuesday, Steve and I visited with our friends Beth and John at Starr Hill restaurant. The spinach dip appetizer and tuna entree that I had were dee-lish! (Although the spinach dip was way more cheese than spinach...just the way I like it.) I don't think that I have ever had a bad meal there. I have had a bad glass of wine there, though, so consider this a warning not to order the Pinot Noir.
Then, last night it was off to Northern Exposure to dine with my good friend Rosey (pictured here). My friend Jeff is the manager there, and whenever he is there, dining is a pleasure. Last night he was not there. I won't trash on the place too much, because every place is entitled to one bad night. But after the 3rd server had taken over our table before we even got our first glass of wine, I assumed this was a way off night. Let's just say that when you visit there, you should ask if Jeff is working before taking your seat. I should take last night as a sign that I should really try to keep my resolutions...for at least a little while! - A
