Cville - Hipper Than You

but no matter how you say it, make sure I'm invited! It is rare that I show my girly-girly side, but there is something so fun about getting all gussied up to attend one of the many galas held in the Ville. Honestly, I am a different person when I put on a gown. And when my man puts on that tux...let's just say that James Bond has nothing on him! Even better is the fact that these galas always benefit some good cause. Last night was the UVA Club Gala to benefit the Jefferson Scholarship program. The evening started with cocktails and a silent auction. (Steve took home a Howie Long signed football and a mermaid sculpture!) Then, it was dinner and a live auction. The meal, catered by Simply Delicious, was just that...simply delish. Coach Al Groh was the honorary auctioneer and he did a fantastic job of keeping the football references to a minimum. After the evening was over, Steve and I got back into our pumpkin carriage and headed home. Once home, the clock struck 12 and we turned back into simpletons. Man, that was a good night.
