Yes, I Was Gone Again
"For someone who writes about how much she loves Charlottesville, Angie sure does leave town a lot." That may be what you say after I tell you that I was once again out of town this past weekend. I had to travel to Ft. Myers, FL on business. It was fun, and I love the area, but it wasn't the best time to visit. The brush fires from Georgia and northern Florida were creating a smoke cloud which made its way down to Ft. Myers and smelled up the place. People were being advised to stay inside as much as possible. The airport was closed for a while due to low visibility. It was a mess. Needless to say, it was wonderful to return to the Ville on a beautiful, sunny, and clear day. I am hoping that I will not be called away again for a while, as I have missed you all.
By the way, did you know that the price of stamps went up today? The newscast this morning was the first I heard of it! And wouldn't you know it, I bought a book of 39 cent stamps just two weeks ago. Now I have to go get those annoying 1 cent stamps. (Bear with me...it's a slow news day and I've been out of town). - A
