Where Everybody Knows Your Name

While I started this blog to share new experiences in C'ville, sometimes going to places where you know people and they know you and you are comfortable is just what the doctor ordered. Such was the case this past Sat-Mon. It's great to walk in to Outback Steakhouse, see good friends/acquaintances, and have the bartender know what you want before you even sit down. That was Saturday night. The big screen TV behind the bar helps, as I had to be somewhere that I could watch the tournament. Then Sunday, it was back to the Horse & Hound. Honestly, if you haven't been there for brunch yet, you are missing out. It was a beautiful day, and my friend Terri and I sat out on their patio. One of the servers, Ceril, whom I consider a pal now, came by to talk quite frequently. Just a beautiful day. Hope you did something outdoors then, too, as it has turned off chilly again in the Ville. And Monday, I watched the game at Rival's. They have added TVs to every wall in that place, so you don't miss a second of the game, no matter where you are sitting. Plus, there is tons of room. Tina and Gregg run the place and are just about the two friendliest people you would ever want to meet.
So, while I don't yet receive the 'NORM!' status at these places (yet), it is always nice to go where people like you and you know you will have a good time. Cheers!
